         <description><![CDATA[<div>Removal: Students have a natural understanding of this method because taking away is something all kids have experienced.  I have noticed that after a while this method does not have much meaning to them beyond the simple equation.<br><br>Difference: This method requires them to compare numbers. Students begin to analyze and understand number relationships. <br><br>Both methods must be taught  to our elementary kiddos! </div>]]></description>
