-Leisure reading of stories made by different people around the world. Also provides the most detailed coverage of Fanfiction.net, providing access to all major features.

-Yes, there is a paid upgrade version of the app. With the upgraded version you can save the stories you read and/or download it to your smartphone.

-The application is secured. The privacy concern with this app is when you give information freely to other users in the app.

2. What is the purpose of this app?
Tumblr is a part microblogging, part social media site that can describe as Twitter and a traditional blog combined. There are no limits to how long your posts should be, however users have become accustomed with short posts because of the social culture of the website. In Tumblr’s About page, it states that their purpose is to let you or anyone effortlessly share anything. The app achieves this by the type of posts you are able to share, which include texts, photos, quotes, links, music, and videos coming from your browser, desktop, email, and even your smartphone. Everything is customisable as well from the HTML theme to the URL of your “blog” and to the colour of your profile.

Tumblr is a free app.

When Tumblr debuted in 2007, it did not have any ads that would clutter people’s feed, but when Yahoo! acquired Tumblr in 2013, there was no doubt that monetisation would become more commonplace. However, it was only in July 26^th 2016 that the app announced that they would introduce ads to their website which allows people to make money with their blogs. It is not necessary to have advertisements. Bloggers can turn off the on-blog advertising settings if they are not interested.

Under the terms of service of the website, specifically “Paid Services” some services of Tumblr require payment of fees (all fees are in dollars). A few of these “Paid Services” include “Premium Themes” and some features under “Promotions”(where one can promote themselves to other Subscribers.

 Some information the app collects include the following (but not all):

I do not have much concerns about sharing my personal information through Tumblr because based on the websites privacy policy, they do not share the information unless they have permission to do so; they have given prior notice that they will share the information; or the information is aggregate information and does not identify with the user. Besides this, the information the app collect is needed so that they are able to improve and enhance the Services they are providing or develop new services for an optimum experience using the app/website. The app also provides sufficient security features so that I as a user can keep my information secure. The app allows users to create a password and suggests practices to best protect your Tumblr account from unauthorized users.

It is an educational app that offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom.

The app is a nonprofit with the mission of providing a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere.

No. It is not supported by advertising. Rather, the app is supported by small donations from people.

No, the whole app is free.

The app would need your email address to be able to signup

Based on the information that the would get from me, I am confident that my privacy would not be compromised and that it is secured.
