For me, this album is very, very special and with no doubts is one of my favorites ever. Listening to this album was a "magical" experience. Folklore makes you feel a bit sad but also in peace. The tracks have a totally innovative vibe, and the and the atmosphere that she created  was nothing like the other albums Taylor has made. In my opinion, it's one of the best jobs of her entire career. I don't know how to explain, it just hits different. It was made in 1978. It's a painting of a big human planted in the earth. 
The husband of Tarsila interpreted  that would be a cannibal Indian, an anthropophagous man, one who would devour culture to take possession of it and reinvent it.  
When I was a child , I loved this picture because it was a big man with a plan. 
I confess nowadays I don't  like it too much...

It has 2 main chraters: João Grilo and Chicó who, together, they face many troubles (about money, mainly), beeing the biggest of them, the João Grilo's "death".
The movie relate Brazil's north east culture, transforming problems into jokes and it features the performance of several famous Brazilian actors. 
I confess: I've already watched this work of art many times, since I was a child. I always loved how the brazilian art is represented in O Auto da Compadecida. It's a perfect movie to watch on weekends with the family!
It makes me feel happy and ends any bad day. It's like I'm in childhood again.
