Each day since Kindergarten our son has enjoyed going to school. He has felt supported, cared for, and academically motivated. This is such a testament to each and every teacher and all of the staff that work incredibly hard to create such a wonderful environment for the children so they can feel supported, individually successful, and appropriately challenged. The past 5 years have been such a blessing to our family- thank you teachers!

Mrs. Haven has been so good for my daughter! She has helped her to be comfortable being uncomfortable and I know my daughter has loved Mrs. Haven’s class. There hasn’t been one day she didn’t want to go to her class. I know she has given Mrs. Haven all she can handle and Mrs. Haven has returned the “favor” by making her a better student week by week all year! We are going to miss 2nd grade so much!

Megan may literally have been why I prayed for STJ. Meeting her in the hallways during touring showed me wow teachers like this still exist. She reminded me of my teacher who taught me so much of what I carried in my life as a foundation. Aydin does not and will not forget her and I am grateful for the moments he is shy but can tell her how much he loves her and all the times he shares with me how much he still loves her

Mr. Harrison changed my life

2014 Alumna here…Mr. Harrison (AKA Harri) changed my life. I came into high school not knowing a lot about myself (like all freshmen), but when I took Tech Theatre with Harri, I learned so much more than I expected. The syllabus said Harri would teach us how to use tools and how to build sets. I learned all of that, but I also learned how to be independent and figure stuff out on my own. When it came time to choose classes for 10th grade, Harri encouraged me to take his Productions class. This is where I really figured things out. My dad likes to say I learned “how to herd cats” and work with people of all different personalities and styles of work. This is a life skill, not just an academic checkbox. The skills I learned with Harri’s guidance are priceless, and there are not enough words in this world to describe how important it all was for me in my personal development. I also gained a lifelong friend in Harri. I miss you! Hope you’re well!

My son has been at STJ since K5, and he has had some great years here, for sure, but this year has been so very special! I am so thankful for ALL of the teachers who have made the transition away from Elementary not only manageable, but exciting! I've never seen my son more happy, confident, and involved. Thank you, Mrs. Harber, Mr. Turner, Mr. Saavedra, Mr. Harrison, and (oh my goodness, ESPECIALLY) Mrs. Christie! And Dr. Taylor! Thank you, thank you, thank you for nurturing and teaching these 12 year olds and for showing them how to grow up with grace even when it can feel like such an ungraceful time of their lives. Middle School is TOUGH, but you all weather the thousand daily storms so beautifully. You've made a difference in his life, and I will be forever grateful.

it was so nice to have had u this year. I loved psychology and I was kind of surprised when I found out it was your first year teaching it. I like the way you navigate the class especially with all the controversial stuff, I personally think there aren't many teacher that can do as such a good job at it. I loved the cake you baked and I have SO much feedback about the ap exam (after the question paper is made public ofc :P)

Sra is one of the most structured teachers that I know. Some view this as overbearing, but actually it is what makes Sra such an amazing teacher. She works extremely hard to make sure that her students have every available resource so her students can succeed in her class and have the ability to understand spanish in the future. Sra uses different learning strategies to make sure that every student has the ability to learn in their own way in her class. Sra teaches spanish in a way that makes it easy to learn and love. Dr. Ward is seriously the best. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable about history, but he genuinely cares about us as students. One thing I really admire is how he loves to engage in discussions with us. He doesn't just lecture at us; he invites us to share our thoughts, ask questions, and explore different perspectives. It makes the learning experience so much more enjoyable. When you’re just waiting for lunch and standing in line he sparks up a conversation where I can just talk to him for hours upon hours if I could. Plus, he's always there to listen, whether it's about history or just life in general. It's clear that he's passionate not only about teaching history but also making meaningful connections with us.
