In 1908, the Sultan no longer held executive power. Everyone was subject to a fair trial. Suleyman had a big legacy in changing the Ottoman Empire. He created the law code. He simplified and limited trade. And He created a systemized government bureaucracy.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Empire had an Agrarian Economy. They also were labor scarce, as they did not have a lot of people doing manual labor. They also were land rich and were capital poor. Most people earned a living from small family holdings. These small family holdings contributed over 40% of taxes for the Empire. Other taxes came on customs revenue of exports. Exported luxury goods include silk, fur, tobacco, spices, and cotton. Some Imported goods from Europe include wooden cloth, glass ware, medicine, clocks, and gunpowder.</div>]]></description>
