He was born in the 19th of May from 1992 in London. Smith began performing as a child, but the first real press he got, was when his mother, a successful banker, was promoting his career. 
He joined the Youth Music Theatre UK and singed on jazz bands for a long time. His influences where Adele, Amy Winehouse, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and more singers.

He rose to fame in October 2012 when he was featured on Disclosure's breakthrough single "Latch", which peaked at number eleven on the UK Singles Chart. He released his debut studio album, In the Lonely Hour, in May 2014 on Capitol Records UK. "Stay with me", was an international success, reaching number one in the UK and "I'm not the only one" reached the top five. On December 2014, Smith was nominated for six Grammy Awards. 
He has created two albums, In the Lonely Hour (2014) and  The Trill of it all (2017) both have become so popular. 
He usually does the same kind of music. Many people say:   "The boy who writes sad songs".
Smith is a special singer because of his feelings, he always sings with passion and very beautiful pain.

We just remember that this theme were brillant. We chose this singer because of his style of music: pop,  soul, R&B... We think is a simple music and he always tries to do his best.  He is not into one performer band and his only instruments musicals are the voice. 

In "Too good at goodbye" Smith is singing to the boy who had with his first romantic relation with, Jonathan Zeizel. The singer does not want to get in love with the listener because if they broke up he will suffer a lot. He says he is not bad,  he is only protecting himself. Miserably their love is  impossible.
As we can see in the stanza, the singer says "I'm too good at goodbyes", for this resason we think Sam Smith is trying to say to us that you can love someone so much, but at the same time, this love with her or him, is impossible.

Sometimes when he uses present simple he is referring to the future, for example:
I'm never gonna let you close to me means that he will never let him get closer.

He repeats no so many times to remark that their love is impossible

He also uses abbreviations like: gonna, thinckin’, I’m, you’ll, it’s, don’t, ...

About the vocabuary, we have to say that it’s quite easy;
