Outback landscapes can be very similar to one another which can mean that it is hard to grasp where you are and how you can get back to where you need to be. You could also find yourself in one of these desperate situations if you fail to take the important precautions that are needed when participating in travel such as this type of travel. Due to there being a lack of reception as well as an unforgiving climate that is hot and dry you need to make sure you are not only fully prepared for anything to happen in terms of food and water, but also letting people know where you are going and other important details that could assist you i a desperate situation. If you don't take these precautions you could be in trouble when travelling in the outback and come across a life threatening situation like the guy in the video has. If you are not familiar with outback travel or the area you are in, you may not be aware of dangers in the area which could get you into a desperate situation.
