However Saudi Arabia is also an Islamic theocracy so they base their laws after their religion. For example in Saudi Arabia if you try change your religion from anything expect Islam you are punished by death. Although they are an Absolute Monarchy they also have what is called a Basic Law. - If you carry medication you must carry a doctors not at all times.

Some of these tasks include marriage, divorce, travel, education, and employment. 17% of the work force is females and they often have sections just for women to work. These ways of treating women were forced upon because the government believed that women did not contribute to the war nor contribute to the tax system. In a Democracy the citizens vote on a group of representatives that they think will best represent/run their country. This means that the people of a democratic country like Denmark have more freedom in their speech and their actions. This is different compared to a Theocracy because in a Theocracy people are forced to follow strict laws based on their religion. However the citizens of Saudi Arabia are able to elect other forms of government. In 2005 men voted on the municipal council people. The next election set to take place in 2009 was postponed to consider letting women vote.
