Egyptian mythology is one of the longest lasting religions in the world. It was practiced for almost 3,000 years.<br><br>vi. In Egyptian mythology the Earth was a male, the god Geb, and the sky was a female, the goddess Nut. This differs from other mythologies where the Earth is typically a female.</div>]]></description>

Egyptian mythology was polytheistic, meaning that the religion had multiple gods and goddess for different things for the natural world (the earth, the water, sky, etc) as well as for human emotions (envy, evil, etc)<br><br>viii. A well-known symbol from Ancient Egyptian civilization is the scarab which is a beetle that symbolizes life and resurrection. <br><br>ix. The pharaoh was the head of Ancient Egyptian society and was considered the intermediary between the gods and the people. <br><br>x.  The Eye of Horus is another important symbol of Ancient Egypt. It was typically worn as an amulet for protection by good magic. </div>]]></description>
