While some of the photos here might not be appropriate for a unit exploring the concept of diversity, there are several that might be useful, such as "The Invisible Man," and "Hope at the Citadel." Both of these images might complicate students' ideas about diversity, helping them to understand that the concept is not limited to race and ethnicity, as well as question whether diversity has been / will ever be embraced in America.
