I most definitely agree with this. In every song there is musical elements that tie the song together that in return gives the listener a "jacketed feeling" as mentioned by Ratliff. For example, in "Evil" the top hat and piano instrumental combine to give the jazz song some type of order rather than it being scattered all over the place. It is the relationship between different sounds or instruments in a song.
