This music videos uses serval jump cuts as its a fast paced song due to this there wasn't many slow motion mostly fast motion but when the song slowed down i did notice the video also slowing down. There is many obvious edits such as jump cuts with the camera moving in time with the music, the music video was edited to the beat. The music video really supports Carol Vernallis theory as there is a master shot (base track) used frequently to give the video a structure nd repeated shots of the artist , the base track is when bruno Mars is with his friends in the pink blazer dancing infront of the camera (shown in the gif above). The camera is focused on the star main artist Rihanna with a lot of slow motion on her face while the camera pans around her, this depicts that she is the most important in the music video whereas Mikky Eko is shown majority is long shots and not in focus as much. The artist are also singing to the camera making the video more personal and following Carol Vernallis theory with repeated shots of the artists.
