I played a game w my siblings in Michigan called, “Who has the oldest expiration date in their pantry?” It got competitive. A brother found a can of Frito bean dip from 2012. A sister found a tin of cinnamon sticks from 2009. But I knew victory was mine when I pulled out the jar of curry powder from 2008.

Adam and I have become foster parents again. We picked up this sweet 6 week old, 5 pound baby boy from the NICU last week. We are adjusting to our work from home-with a newborn-during a pandemic-life, but so lucky we get to love on this sweet guy as long as he is with us. Even Jax, our 100 pound Golden approves!

Went on a Hike

I've been exploring the state parks. I've been to Mother Neff State Park and Colorado Bend State Park. Enchanted Rock (one of my favorites) is next. A good way to get away and be with nature during quarantine.

On this teacher appreciation week I wish I could walk down the halls and give you all a hug and tell you personally how I appreciate you!! So took a mid-day nature walk behind my house and pretended it was the hallways, I can't sit still anyway. Took these pics to share the beauty I see in all of you:)

On my trail run this weekend and lately I stop a little more and enjoy the moment. I am always on the move telling myself to slow down and appreciate the moment more now. Like to make cairns with the rocks, leave a little something behind that can be left behind for someone to add on or knock down!
