In this quote, the narrator talks about how much Eddie loves kids and how much the kids love him back. Another thing they go on to talk about is how he's not a big fan of teens and vice versa. I chose this quote because it shows significance to Eddie and how much he cares for children over teens. Eventually, through the story, we will be able to see how much he loves kids and how he cares for them.

In this quote Eddie has just arrived to heaven and is reflected with his thoughts. He couldn't help but think about what happened before he passed and if the little girl is fine. I think that the significance of this page is important it shows that Eddie really wants to care and wonder how the little girl that he saved well-being. Which shows that even after death his thoughts still reflect back on saving her. He also couldn't really also experience emotions which is new to him.

This page and his 17th birthday section represents Eddie meeting a girl and his brother teasing him for meeting a girl ¨he is going to marry¨. They reflect on negative moments again on his birthday; The war and his brother teasing him about the new girl he met. Eventually his mother comforted him and found a way to make light of both situations and make Eddie smile. I think the significance of this quote was to show his relationship with his mother. It shows his mother was a very important positive women in his life.

On this page, the blue man goes into detail on his death in his pov because Eddie has a different view of it all. He talks about how Eddie running into the road for his baseball caused the blue man to swerve, but he kept the car together and avoided the crash. He was too freaked out due to the almost tragedy that was going to happen. Due to his also having a weak heart the blue man ended up passing out and crashing and passed. The significance of this page shows what happened that day and what information Eddie didn't know about that day. I also think it's significant because it goes onto the lesson the Blueman is trying to teach Eddie about everything being connected and forgiveness. Due to Eddie being able to go home and continue with life even after that event, the blue man could not.

In this quote many men have went off to war leaving their families home. Which leads to the pier being filled with many women and just their kids. The kids could miss their father while asking Eddie to hold them. Then when the mothers see that they have a bitter sweet feeling. The quote represents that the woman wishes that their children's father was there to hold their kids. That is where the term wrong pair of arms comes from. The quote is very significant because it drives Eddie to join the war.

He was told that the injury will affect him in his future and slowly worsen over time. Eddie went home with that injury and it impacted and changed his life. Also the war or thought of war is something Eddie is going to carry for the rest of his life due to that injury impacting his life.

Eddie has just met his Captain from war. The captain unfortunately passed from a land mine trying to protect his soldiers. But his remains still stayed behind he didn't have a funeral or any type of event of remembrance. It remains left behind from where he died at. I think this part is significant because neither Eddie nor did the other soldiers know what happened to the captain that day. So that means Eddie just learned that he was just left there without any proper remembrance service or any one knowing where he was.

The quote "Sometimes when you sacrifice something precious, you're not really losing it. You're just passing it on to someone else." is important because it teaches Eddie that his sacrifices made a big difference in other people's lives. This helps him realize that his life had meaning and that everyone's actions are connected. Understanding this helps Eddie feel at peace with his past and shows that even small sacrifices can have a big impact. It captures the book's message about how our actions affect others and the value of sacrifice.

In this page it really shows the relationship Eddie has with his father. I chose this page mainly for that and not only that, it shows the difference between how his mother treats him to his father treating him. I also like how they highlight the two relationships and just by this scene alone we can see who Eddie adapts more too and why. This page's significance is mainly on Eddies relationships with his parents and why he has that type of relationship with them.

"All parents Damage their children". I think this quote is very significant, due to the fact of it being a controversial saying. Many may agree, disagree, or be on the fence about it. I think referring to the main character Eddie it is true, especially for his father and his relationship. I think his fathers verbal and physical abuse was bad but when he went silent and never interacted with him that harmed him just as much.(add more)

I chose this scene because it emphasis mainly on how Eddie's father felt before he died. It was sad that it took til he was nearly dead to be filled with regret and guilt. Not only that even though it may have been too late for his kids to forgive him, they would never know that he felt that way before he died. Especially, Eddie, I feel like he always went on to see his father as negative even after his father's death. He only saw from what he had seen that his father never felt any ounce of guilt or regret for what he did to them. I think this shows significance because Eddie knows that his father did feel guilty and was not always just coldhearted.

I find this whole page important, due to it gong back to real world time after Eddie ´ s death. It shows the importance of Eddie not having family or anyone really to attend or plan a funeral for him. He even didn't have kids or a wife to plan or attend, and his funeral consisted of his work mates. They had to take out of Eddies most recent paycheck to plan it. They bought him a wooden box casket(not the traditional casket), and even made sure the funeral was near work because the people that attended had to go back to work straight after. I find it significant because it shows us that he really didn't have anyone. Also that the people he does know didn't even plan him a proper funeral. It seems like it was something they just half did and wanted to get over with.

In this scene Eddie is talking to Marguerite, she teaches him the lesson of everlasting love. This quote is significant because it is Eddie's fourth lesson. He learns after seeing his wife that love ascends even after death. She also teaches him that instead of love leaving after death it becomes a long-lasting memory. She tells us and Eddie that love doesn't always require a physical presence.

In this scene Eddie has met his fifth person in heaven. The child gained scars that resembled the ones too how she looked after she was burned to death. She then proceeds Eddie to help heal her. I think this is very significant because him washing her is resembling him healing her. Which can correlate to how well he treats children. Even though his one wrong doing, the child saw that all the good treatment he gave other kids somewhat was healing.

Eddie also believes that he wasn't actually living and he had no purpose in life. Tala then goes on to tell him that he does have a purpose and his purpose was to be there for the kids. He was this sort of figure for the children and especially during the war time when many fathers were drafted. This is very significant because not only is it Eddie's last lesson he learns one of the most important lessons. Even though he didn't believe he had a purpose, he really did have a purpose and a very impactful one.
