Το Κάστρο της Πάτρας είναι το παλαιό φρούριο της πόλης και πλέον σημαντικό καλοδιατηρημένο μνημείο της και ένα εκ των τοποσήμων της. Χτίστηκε επάνω στα ερείπια της αρχαίας Ακρόπολης κατά το δεύτερο μισό του 6ου μ.Χ. αιώνα από τον Ιουστινιανό και συγκεκριμένα μετά τον καταστροφικό σεισμό του 551 με υλικά προ-χριστιανικών οικοδομημάτων για την άμυνα της περιοχής και των κατοίκων.

Αξίζει όλοι μας να το επισκεφτούμε και να το φροντίζουμε .
