Many ancient wisdoms are sought to be validated by means other than modern science. <br><br><strong>Connection:</strong><br>An example of ancient wisdom is the healing and spiritual properties of essential oils. The belief of these oils is that consuming them (inhaling, wearing, swallowing) will grant the consumer healing in some sort of manner (increased focus, scar healing, digestion).</div>]]></description>

Mayor West then used the red hearing technique by complementing Mort and the fact he asked a question to ignore the actual question originally asked. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Define Problem: <br></strong>Essential oils have healing properties and may even be able to substitute for clinically tested medicines/medical supplies. <br><strong>Gather Information:<br></strong>Because the essential oil wave is currently present in modern society you're able to find a lot of sources for and against.<br><br>For:<br><a href="https://www.foxnews.com/health/5-essential-oils-that-heal">https://www.foxnews.com/health/5-essential-oils-that-heal</a><br>Claims several anti septic and healing properties for various oils<br><br>Against:<br><a href="https://www.healthnewsreview.org/2017/10/why-health-claims-about-essential-oils-deserve-more-scrutiny-from-journalists/">https://www.healthnewsreview.org/2017/10/why-health-claims-about-essential-oils-deserve-more-scrutiny-from-journalists/</a><br>Claims that though some oils <em>could </em>point toward being anti-allergens or have medical use, the testing was very scarce in both testees (tested on mice) and not very thorough.<br><br><strong>Alternative 1:<br></strong>Essential oils are a completely valid form of medical aids, for allergies, cuts, sunburns, digestion etc.<strong><br><br>Alternative 2:<br></strong>Though essential oils could display minimal signs of being medically helpful, not enough research has been done.<strong><br><br>Best Alternative:<br></strong>I think alternative 2 is more likely. I think that more research must be done into any medical properties that essential oils could potentially have. If essential oils were effective enough to be valid alternatives to any medicines, they would be prescribed frequently by doctors.</div>]]></description>
