This book is appealing to me (and should be to students) because it takes the students on an adventure or a trip to the grandparents house. This means that the students that are listening to the story could use their schema to recall events that they have experienced while vising their grandparents house. This book in entertaining to students because of the stories that the grandfather tells because no one ever knows what he is going to pull out next.

This sheet is good because this book brings real life memories to students, but at the same time it is a fiction story. At the bottom I will have the students to tell me why they think the story is fiction or non fiction. This explanation will let me know as the teacher which students has that skill and which student does not.
