Greek people thought that these Gods and Goddesses controlled and affected people's lives, so they worshiped them and built massive temples in their honor.

Geography of Greece made it a very unique country, surrounded with clear blue water and vast mountains. People normally either lived near the Mediterranean Sea to the South because they could live as sailors, fishers and traders, and others lived in farming communities. Most early Greek cities were located close to mountains or sea, as Greeks felt close ties to their lands, but these cities were divided by mountains and sea, raising them independent.

One type of art was called Epics, which were long poems telling great stories of adventure. Another was the Fable, which was a short tale that tells a lesson. Another is a Drama which is a story told by actors who pretend they are in a certain story. One more is a tragedy, where the actor struggles to overcome difficult tasks but fails, therefore the story has an unhappy ending. Art gave Greece a sort of entertainment since there was no electricity. The Greeks spread their ideas of art around the country by telling the ideas to important writers and performers who used the ideas around Greece.

Greek citizenship meant participating in running their city-state with one another, and to have equal rights and responsibilities with one another. A citizen is someone who was native-born and owned land, and their rights were to go to war, have some freedom, and govern their city-states. This made greeks different by making citizens excluding women and children, and men being much more important.

A direct democracy, like Athens, is where people vote for their rulers directly. People got the chance to vote, but still not many people were elected and many were unhappy. A representative government, like the USA, is where the elected people represent a group of people. These people could rule for everyone quite easily, but there were still too few people for everyone to be included. An Oligarchy, like North Korea, is where very few people have power. This made decisions easy, but minimal people had power. A tyranny, like ancient West Asia, is where one singular person rules, almost like a dictatorship. Decisions were only made simply one person, but their ideas could be bad and almost nobody was included.
