I experienced this when I returned to school after many years after dropping out of high school. I was a young mother and going 
back to school was terrifying. I was worried that I wouldn't fit in. What was it going to be like after all of these years? How do people react or behave now? What was the structure? What would they think of me? I had so many questions. It was difficult getting back into the routine of school, homework, tests but most of all how to do it all and raise children. It took time

To get from the Airport to where we were staying we took public transit. When I had visited relatives in Jamaica. I remember the way they prepared food. It was not common in Canada to find a goat suspended from a tree bleeding out or running after a chicken after your cut his head off. Took some time to get over the food preparation.
