A neutral stimulus is paired with a stimulus that elicits a particular response. Overtime, the neutral stimulus will elicit the response without the presence of the initial stimulus. See image </p></li><li><p><strong>Common Usage</strong>: </p><p>Classical conditioning is the basis of 4 common approaches - Evaluative, second-order, systematic desensitization and counter-conditioning.
