The Peregrine Falcons are wanderers so they are found almost everywhere. They can be found on every continent except Antarctica. Although, they are usually closer to the water. They are also found on mountains and cliffs usually overlooking the sea. Sometimes they live in the cites too. Its hard to say a specific place is where they live since they are a migratory, wanderer, species.

The Peregrine Falcons are carnivores so they only eat meat. since the live near water they usually hunt ducks and other birds. If they live in the city then they probably eat a lot of pigeons. They sometimes eat small land mammals too. Luckily, this species has few natural predators so they don't have to worry about being hunted very much.

How a Peregrine Falcon attacks can vary depending on what there attacking. if its a bird they fly high above it then dive at the bird. when diving they can reach speeds over 200 mph! they can only catch there food 20% of the time though. when they are charging towards their food they usually slam their sharp talons into their prey to kill it. then they finally have some good food.

There are three major beginning stages of development. Eggs, incubation, and chicks.

First, female typically lays two to seven eggs that are a bit smaller than chicken eggs. Peregrine Falcons have been known to lay as many as seven eggs. Next is incubation, which lasts from 33 to 36 days. An adult is usually on the eggs almost constantly, though the eggs may remain uncovered for several hours without harming the developing chicks. As hatching time nears, the female seems unwilling to leave the nest. Lastly, when the eggs hatch, little chicks come out. Chicks look like a tiny snowball with a large bill and oversize feet. The chicks are usually just about full-grown in six weeks. They live for about 17 years in the wild

When DDT was used as a pesticide it caused these Peregrines Falcons eggs to thin and decrease the possibility of hatching success. After this their population began to decrease. Soon after they became endangered, but after the banning of DDT their population as grown.
They have been taken of the list of endangered species. They are now flying free and doing falcon shows at some zoos.
