He lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with his wife and their son. He is a published author and makes a living creating youtube videos focusing on skateboarding, comedy, and his personal life.  He also runs his own skateboard and wheel company, ReVive Skateboards and Force wheels. Drew had a daily routine of going to school, then the comic shop to play Magic, the Gathering, and then home to bed. But one day, he sees Mike, an upperclassman who was always mean to him, being held up against a police car for skateboarding behind the comic shop. Drew rushes to defend Mike and eventually wins the argument with the police. Mike pays him back with the best gift of his life. Teaching him how to skate. Drew and Mike improved rapidly up to the point where they were making Cincinnati famous skate videos and making a profit. They had a great skate team with a strange group of friends. Alfred Bames, who has ADHD (Andy is still friends with the real Alfred today), Davey, who has some bad addictions, and Jake, who is really girl crazy. Drew gets his first girlfriend Nicole and is dealing with typical teenager relationship issues. The book takes us through his all-time low points in his late teens and twenties and how he survives through it.
