The woman had to go somewhere else because the war was getting closer to them. She could not take Salva with her because he is a kid. Salva found a group of people from his tribe. They accepted him and the group started walking. A kid and Salva are falling behind because they are starving. The kid can tell that there is a bee hive. The bee hive can provide the group with honey to eat.
