Social Facts are external to the individual, it does not actually exist outside individual minds, it originates outside the mind of any particular individual, and they are passed from generation to generation.<br><br>2. punishment, disapproval, rejection, or simply the failure of an action to achieve its goal<br><br>3.&nbsp; Social Facts are only observable through the impacts it leaves on society, by observing the actions of people in that society or culture.<br><br>- Social facts are like religious dogmas, class structure, population distribution, financial systems, urbanisation, institutions and more!<br><br>4. Durkheim uses scientific ways of studying society and human behaviour, just like Emile Comte and his ideals of Positivism.</div>]]></description>

What impact do social facts have on our lives? &nbsp;</div><div>- Social facts impacted the way we act and behave, it is what is of us quite early in life, these expectations become an obligation and it grows to be a part of our personality. Individuals are, of course, able to influence them and contribute to their development, but they do so only in association with other individuals.<br><br>3. What does Durkheim say about our ability to observe social facts? Make sure you understand what ‘intangible’ and ‘infer’ mean.<br>-&nbsp; Durkheim emphasizes that social facts are very difficult to observe. Indeed, they are often observable only through their effects. Intangible meaning it cannot be touched and Durkheim suggests that Social facts are indirect and invisible. Infer refers to guessing or suggesting people's behavior based on the actions of a large number of people.<br><br>4. Why could we call Durkheim a ‘positivist’?&nbsp;<br>- He is absolutely certain that we can assume people behavior by observing the actions of large groups of people. He precisely studied human behaviors and gathered his theories and ideas based off of that.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
