-Result: The Soviet Union inflicted a catastrophic defeat on the German Army in and around this strategically important city on the Volga river, which bore the name of the Soviet dictator, Josef Stalin.
-Importance: It is considered as the battle that changed the course of World War II. The moment when Hitler's army began to falter and retreat.

Since the Holocaust was exceptionally evil in its genocidal uniqueness, I think we all know and this one famous person once said, "Not all victims were Jews, but all Jews were victims."
