.) The Ocean: My cousin is scared because it's deep and we don't know everything that lives there.
.) The Dark: I'm scared of what I can't see.
.) Open areas: My sister doesn't like open fields. We think it's because Mom made us read "All Quiet on the Western Front" and that's how the main character died; being shot in an open field.
.) Heights: My Grandfather is scared of falling.
.) Failure: No one wants to fail because what if you can't recover from it.
.) Dogs: My mom doesn't like pitbulls because she has a scar on her leg from one.
.) Black holes: it's dark; it's big and crushes everything including light.
.) Ghosts: What if they are mean?
.) Zombies: People mindlessly walking around looking to eat you.
.) Clowns: My dad was scared of these because of the book "It." They look funny but what's really underneath all that make-up

Two things that scare me: Ghosts & Zombies

Two things that scare me the most are ghosts and zombies. Even though I realize that they aren't real, the thought that they could be real is scary enough. For example, what if there was a virus or a drug that turned people into mindless, crazy, and violent creatures? Would there be a cure? What would we do with those people? There's just a lot of questions and no answers for that hypothetical. Probably for the same reason, I am scared of ghosts. What if they do exist and we don't know it? How did they become ghosts and would there be an end to their haunting? When I think about it, these things are scary because they present the unknown and only create questions and no answers. To deal with these fears, I just think about other things or remind myself that they are not real. So, if there is an unusual bump in the night that I can't explain, I will simply tell myself there is a rational scientific explanation.
