Women: enter puberty two years beforehand, carry 70% more fat, have 40% less muscle and are 5" shorter.
Men: 4 times more likely to commit suicide or suffer alcohol dependence.
Aggression: Men are typically more physically aggressive and have a ten to one ratio of being convicted of murder.
Social Power: Males are more socially & politically dominant and their occupations receive more in salaries.
Social Contentedness: Women are more concerned about being with others & boys typically interact with large groups while girls are more interested in immediate, small groups. Both men and women average 16,000 words daily. Teens spend more time with friends and less time alone. Men don't often turn to support while women do. Younger girls become more flirtatious while boys become more dominant and inexpressive, but by age 50 men become more empathetic and women become more self confident.

When men and women have faced liked challenges, the sexes are similar.
Your gender is determined by your 23d chromosome. X Chromosome is from mom while Y is from father. Females have a lower amount of testosterone and the male sex organs are assembled at the 7th week.
Sex related hormones influence brain development and is involved in verbal fluency.
Gender Roles: 30 years ago, men were to initiate more in a relationship (dates, driving & paying). Men spend at least 1.5 hours more at work and less time taking care of the house. Gender roles can prevent awkward decisions about chore but also can cause anxiety if going outside specified role. We learn and adapt gender roles over time. 90% of the time, women stay home with their sick children.
Gender and Child-Rearing: Some men appear to have more masculine attributes and some girls appear more feminine. Social Learning Theory is about how children learn by observing and imitating others. Even when parents don't go by traditional gender roles, the children organizes it into boy and girl worlds.
