Throughout my career, I have contributed to the field in diverse and meaningful ways—from supporting adults with developmental disabilities in a group home environment, to coordinating parenting programs, conducting applied research, and serving as an early childhood resource consultant. Each role has strengthened my commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive, and research-informed services for children, families, and communities.

For the past 20 years, I have had the privilege of teaching in the Early Childhood Education Program, where I have developed curriculum for multiple program streams. This work has allowed me to mentor future educators and demonstrate excellence in post‑secondary teaching and program development.

My leadership and advocacy have been recognized within the sector, including receiving an Advocacy Award in 1999 for my contributions to human services. These experiences have shaped my strong abilities in interpersonal communication, professional practice, applied research, and reflective, theory‑informed decision making.

These artifacts reflect my personal commitment to advocating for children, families, and the early childhood profession. Creating Open Educational Resources on reflective practice and the child development practitioner program allowed me to share my own values and experiences in ways that support educators and, ultimately, the children they serve. Co‑authoring the Holistic Health and Wellness resource grew from my belief in nurturing the whole child and strengthening family, children and educator well‑being. My Reggio‑inspired blog is a space where I champion children’s voices. The CECE video and child abuse training represent my responsibility to protect children and uphold ethical practice.
