They would use these tensions to fuel the civil rights movements in the coming decades. Evidence includes the Tuskegee Airmen, the 1940 Nationality Act, and the Zoot Suit Riot respectively. 
Women, galvanized by a patriotic sense of duty, took over traditionally male leadership roles and left their roles as caretakers behind. Evidence includes the "8 hour orphans term." 

Conscription: U.S. legislation shifted over the years to fit the changing needs of the military during the war. All men 21-40 were required to register, had a lottery for actual conscription. Most men of decent health were required to register but pacifists served as firefighters, medics, and civilian Public Service workers.

-Japanese Peruvians were arrested and deported to the US to be put in internment camps
