Although, it is the same scene and the same situation is happening in it they are different ways that the reader understands it. For instance, in the graphic novel we actually can see everything happening like Victor's expressions which shows how sick he truly is and his friend holding him in his arms while he confesses to him about his creation on his death bed. As, readers with the graphic novel we get a lot of details that we don't have to think of or picture since it is right there. Unlike, in the original text it has to address every person and add more words to actually give us a picture of what is truly happening. We know from both texts Victor is a tragic hero because he wasn't a villain he just made a creation like any other scientist that was dangerous , but tried to be the hero and kill it to protect others. We see this throughout the text and he finally dies at the end from something tragic as in being ill. I felt as if the resolution was very confusing in both ,but in the graphic novel it was easier to understand. I say this because in the graphic novel we see and read that the creation does go back to how Victor assumed he would then he tells Victor's friend his side of the story. Not only does he tell him that , but also about how he actually feels bad for killing those people. As a result of him feeling pity the creation/monster tries to kill himself since he sees no point of living since the person he was watching died already. Whereas in the passage there were a lot more words that weren't very needed. In the graphic novel there was minimum words when Victor found out Elizabeth was murdered. There was a lot more onomatopoeia happening than in the actual text. In the actual original passage there was none and there was a lot of description about how her dead body lay whereas the graphic novel since it has pictures there is no need to really explain. The reader almost has to infer more than actually picture it since we have a clear image , but with words it doesn't work like that. Overall, in the climax in the graphic novel it is much clear this is the climax by seeing Victor's emotions it helps us understand how important it is. We same image as in the original texts since we would have to picture it. For instance, with the books either the original passage or the graphic novel we actually had to read them and understand them which makes our brains work beyond just reading whereas with a movie it is all layed out for us. Movies are much simpler for us and not always the same as books. The books are more alike , but the movie just follows the story plot with their own twist. Much is cut out for the movies to get straight to the point unlike in the books. Not only this , but all of the description given in the books won't be needed in the movies since we can just see things such as what something might look like.
