Although, while Gandalf, Aragorn, and Frodo were related to things Jesus did, I didn't think the connection to them representing priest, prophet, and king were quite made. Like, Gandalf was related to Jesus at the Transfiguration, but the role of the prophet is to preach and I don't think that was talked about a lot with him. Gandalf represents the prophet, Aragon the king, and Frodo the priest. Gandalf can show this role because of how he was the teacher and he shows wisdom, after he dies he comes back as a light and guides the others. Aragon is a leader and he also helps to heal other characters in the book. And lastly, Frodo is like a priest because he is following God, he will do anything he can in order to destroy the ring, signifying original sin, which was Jesus' mission.
