Dancing is more than a mere interest to me because it’s my stress reliever. I dance every day and it makes me feel better. I love to dance because I forget everything
that made me upset in the first place.

What would people need to know in order to understand my passion?

What people need to know about my passion in order to understand it would be that, you don’t need to be a professional to dance. You just have to have fun and love what you are doing, and I do. Some dancing does require athletic abilities and
flexibility. This is how it is similar to playing regular sports. There are a lot of different dances. You need to find the right one for you and understand what it requires.

How does your passion affect and reflect you as a person and as a learner

My passion affects and reflects me as a person because it’s my way of expression. I let
out my feelings through dancing and it helps me. Dancing reflects me as a learner
because it helps me clear my head. If I’m stressed or overthinking things I
just imagine myself dancing and it makes my work a little bit easier.

Dancing can help relieve stress or just keep you active. Dancing makes me feel better after a bad day or just a little bit of sadness. Most people dance to get their minds off of things. The thing I love the most about dancing is that I can be myself and I can be creative.

What I love about dancing is that you can be creative and make up your own moves. When you dance you have a certain feeling of security. It’s like all the doubts you have about yourself just go away. Dancing is freedom and being you. If I couldn’t dance I wouldn’t know any other way of expressing myself. I can’t even imagine my life without
dancing and I wouldn’t want to. Dancing is my life.

Hip Hop History

The hip hop dance styles were created in the 1970's and soon became popular in the United States. Eventually after the Unites States started performing these first dance moves they created more. Because of television and the internet, these dances became famous and popular even faster. Most Hip Hop dancing includes doing moves on your hands. Some include you spinning on only your hands and sometimes the performer will spin on their head. To be a Hip Hop dancer you don't neccessarily have to do these moves. They are really advanced.

If you are hoping to be a professional dancer you need to be serious about dance. They rehearse and pratice for hours and you willl have to be prepared. You have to be able to follow directions.

I made this video for this project. I didn't have time to practice so this was very improvised. I was very nervous but I hope you enjoy.
