The government was weak and the people were hopeless. Hitler took this as the perfect opportunity to try and cease power. He promised the people that he would make Germany strong and powerful again. He was also the leader of the Nazi party, and he used his fame there to try and get him elected into office, but it wasn't enough. Luckily for him, he was offered a chancellor position in government. There is so solid evidence, but it is believed that the Nazi's burned the building so they could declare a state of emergency, giving Hitler ultimate power over all of the people. He was able to become the supreme leader without any challenges. He used secretive groups of police, such as the Schutzstaffel. He encouraged mob groups such as the Storm troopers and the brown shirts. This group was mainly used for control of those who were outraged at the ruling of Hitler. They were allowed to work in factories and provide for their families, and they had the right to vote. However, Hitler had control over what was taught in school, and he made sure that the younger generations would hate Jews just as much as he did. Anti-semitic and racist ideas were part of the curriculum in school. He also made sure that Germany as a whole boycotted Jewish goods and banned the employment of anyone with Jewish heritage.
