a. From my point of view, I would have thought something negative about this new product, because the commercial is so dark and systematic. I did not like it, I prefer happy commercials.

b. I find it shocking, dystopian, strange and a little creppy. And the colors(all dark and shadows), the people that appear to be like robots and the women running makes me think she is scaping from someone or something, its a bit scary.

c. The intention is to sell a new product, a new computer in the market, but reminding us of the dystopian novel 1984 and let us know that it (the product and society) would not be as the novel.

d. It uses symbols, color contrast and images and people to convey meaning. For example, the women and the hammer, she was the only one in different vivid colors and also it seems that she was the only one that was FREE.

e. I knew about almost all of them, they help me analysis better the commercial, but there was some of the that I didn't remember that well, as the camera angles.

A. That is a product that is going to improve the world and that stands out from the others.

B. I feel two ways Firstly, I felt empathy for the people acting as robots because of their control. Also, how the product is presented as something that is going to confront or improve the situation in that era.

C. The commercial is trying to sell a product but the interesting part is the messages, first as an improvement to technology and also as a symbol of society confronting monotony and control.

D. The use of techniques and camera angles are important to deliver the message. For example when they try to show the person that controls those people they use the bird's angle to represent highness or power above everyone, but when the guys are shown they are covered by low angles representing inferiority. This happens as the girl enters, symbolizing the revolutionary work done by apple with a mid view contrasting with the power created by the screen man.

E. I've had learn about camera shots and the impact on viewers and this helps me understand the techniques and the perspective the director gives to the commercial and also create an idea of what is shown.

This work can be related to a global issue that somehow represents the time and context of an era. In this case, definitions are constructed by different perspectives depending on culture and context.

a. I would be pretty confused because of this innovative kind of commercial, but at the same time intrigued because the video is showing us a problem which is the world turning into the dark world of 1984 and apple giving us the solution and I would like to find out what it is which "will save us".

b. I think that it is very memorable because of the tones in the video and the shocking section of it, probabiily I will never forget it (maybe that's why many companies still remeber this.)

c. The message is to of course sell the new apple computer but in doing so they reminded people of Orwells famous distopia of dark colors and then turned it into something colorful so everyone could be different in a way.

d. It send us the message that we all want and need to be different and uniformity only serves for us to be more controllable.

e. Yea, I knew about these, some terminology I didnt like mise en scene but most of it is the base of cinema and directing, I think its amazing when analizing a comercial such as the one we saw because the way a camera angle is pointed at a character can signify different things and the color used in the movie.

3.2
A: I would think that its something very modern, that will hypnotice everyone as seen on the commercial.
B: I found it very strage, I had never seen a apple comercial with that many people, I shows that the people who get the device will be like just using it and leaving everything besides. What makes me say this is that the body language of the cast, they are very into what they are watching. I felt like if I owned one at the time everyone would pay a lot of attention. In the commercial, it explodes capting their attention about the change they are about to have in a few months , what im talking when I transmit it through the device.I interpretated the body language as a key element in the commercial because they showed how people acted is the effect peple will have.At the end the narrator says that it will no longer be like 1964 any more, this computer will evolute everything.
C: That if you use their computer, you will watch everything in amazing quality and everything of the era they are will change.
D: He sends it by the movie that people were watching, the shots they gave to the viewrs of the movie that was in the comercials transmits that they are really into the content that was comming from the device.
E: Yes, indeed I knew them. They helped me answer because I could analyze in a more professional point of view.

Model Text
3.2
a) I would think that the Apple Macintosh computer is something very new and innovative. An elecctronic device that could change the technological world
b) Personally, I was shocked by the commercial. I felt surprised, confused, intrigued and Felt like something was going to happen. It is a commercial hard to forget for this reason.
c) In my opinion the message of the commercial is to present something innovative, to present the computer as something that will change the Way you see things, and also invokes the desire to have the computer so as not to be left behind.
d) The director of the commercial uses symbols to convince the viewer of the message. He uses colors for this, for example the red short of the woman who runs to break the screen is the only one who mover and this could symbolize that she is the only free person, and also the fact that the Apple logo is colored, when you see it almost at the end it could symbolize hope or the only thing that is going to get the hypnotized people out.
e) I already knew most of the key terms, they helped me in the analysis of the commercial, and to understand what the director wanted to convey with it.

3.2
a)I think it is something innovative because it shows a different proposal of a brand, it was able to project the image of Apple as a groundbreaking and avant-garde company by being something futuristic.

b)I think the commercial was kind of surprising at first, or I was able to fully understand it because it had a dark feeling about humanity. That is why I realized that it will be something that will revolutionize the world, that it will give us a different perspective on a company where there is almost no light in the ad, but makes great reference to the world of computers and personal computing.
c)The message of the commercial is to open the door to the world of technology that will create a great impact on our future because it will help us to carry out basic activities.
d)It uses it to the extent that using the film tool allows us to work with different colours and angles where we can adopt a point of view or a personal perception about what we see in a creative way. The announcement was not only an economic effort, but the future was completely linked to the success or failure of those 60 seconds of projection. How they edit the film is perfect because it emphasizes the emotional and psychological aspects that colour contributes to the narration of specific scenes. At the end, he explains how the construction of patterns can contrast their characteristic elements.

e)I did not have full knowledge of all the key terms, but I did have two terms really clear that are camera shot and montage, which was very useful in being able to answer the main questions. They are very important because they help you in your process of analysing the body of work and that you have more knowledge about advertisements.

QUESTION 3.2:
a) I would think this product will revolutionize the technological world. It seems to be very outstanding and different from earlier devices. I would also be a little frightened about the scale and impact of this product on people's lives. I would develop these conclusions interpreting the different symbols and color schemes presented in the video.

b) I felt bewildered and surprised. I immediately sensed that this product may be something huge and significant to our world history, not only in the technological field. The main reason I thought this was because of the metaphor behind the girl with the hammer: she broke the black and white screen, and thus disrupted a symbol of monotony; so interpreting this message to Apple's situation, made me think that this company plans to disrupt common products and companies.

c) The message is that the Apple Macintosh will revolutionize technology, and will change the world. I immediately remembered the global issue: "Science, technology and the environment", because this commercial portrays how science evolves, causing technology to change and alter the way society works.

d) It uses colors, images, and symbols to convey meaning. For example, the color contrast between the girl with the hammer and the "pawns" conveys the brand's disruptive message, while images and symbols like the hammer and the giant screen communicate how people can defy the system and settle their own norms. The editing is very good at communicating the brand's transcending: alternating scenes showing the pawns, the screen, and the girl reinforce the line between ordinary and extraordinary that the product is crossing.

e) I knew certain terms regarding photography and editing, like camera angles and montage. I think they are very important because they help you be more articulate when analyzing a body of work, and they allow you to have a deeper understanding of films and commercials. They also help you to interpret its implicit messages, meaning that it allows you to explain how meaning is built and what it transmits.

Question 3.2
a) I would think maybe it is a product that liberates people from the possibility of a monotonous and controlled life as shown in George Orwell's 1984
b) I think it has an impoact as it produces intrigue how Apple will set a difference towards other computer brands in the technological world. My gut feeling is that it will be a revolutionary product, because compared to others it brought color to our screens.
c) The message of this commercial is to let the world know that Apple's Macintosh is different and unique, not a colorless product, bringing more color to our lives through the screen and giving us freedom to use it as we desire without limitations of control.
d) Because it is the "story" Macintosh will allow people to live and maybe to be ironic about the fact that a film is seen by many, but with a computer like Macintosh it is your personal computer. The product presents itself as a breakthrough from technological conformity and asserts originality.
e) I already knew about camera angle and mise en scéne, this terms help me articulate my answers because the director takes certain decisions in this aspect to create the emotion they want on the viewer, focusing on people who are "controlled" and are liberated by a woman with a hammer creates a visual impact on viewers and causes intrigue in them about their product.

a) I will think the product is very innovative and that it will change your life in an optimistic way. It promotes trust and loyalty to the product and brand.

b) I think it is a very intelligent commercial mixing together color contrasts and an intertextuality of the situation in the book 1984. My initial feeling is shocked and intrigued in the true meaning of the commercial, what it’s trying to promote. What makes me say this is the dynamic and development of the film.

c) The message is that if you buy the new apple computer your life won’t be colorless and boring. I think it communicates the improvement of visual interaction you can have with your technological divide, preventing the monotonous society presented in the book 1984.

d) By creating expressive and significate images that catch the attention of the viewer. Thru the situation and the actions of the characters he communicates the message.

e) No. But they help by a big degree because it allows me to articulate and analyze my answers in a more profound way.

3.2

a. I would think it is an innovative product, because of what it contains as new characteristics, and that’s why I think that the Macintosh is a great idea and is a product that I may buy.

b. I think that the beginning of the commercial is difference, and a little bit strange. While the commercial continue, I understood the idea, that the commercial is showing us the colors that de Macintosh has, so is a different way to catch the viewer attention.

c. the message is to show present to customers the new colors that apple include in the Macintosh, and how the colors are shown in people, pictures, and videos that are in the computer. Giving to customers the idea that the Macintosh in unique

d. Ridley Scott use the colors that the Macintosh has, in the video, so the viewer knows that what they are watching is something brand new and is what they are selling to us. Also the commercial give us the idea that the Macintosh is a tool that we need in our lives, and is a way to connect technology to our daily lives.

e. I know some of this terms, and I think that this terms are important to understand the commercial better and have different ideas about this.

a. I would think it is a scary and weird commercial trying to send a message to people
b. When I saw the commercial I felt an awkward feeling, it made me feel uncomfortable because is creepy
c. The message of this commercial is to promote a product, in this case a computer, in a weird way to try to get to the audience
d. In this film, the director tried to get to the reader by recreating the situation that was happening in 1984
e. I knew some of the terms like the camera angle because of art class at school
