Darryl Kerrigan states this quote in the first courtroom scene. The assertive tone that Darryl uses in this dialogue reveals that the house is a key component to his identity as well as the overarching family identity. The home consists of memories, stories and love that the family has shared over the years and thus losing it will be symbiotic with losing a core component of the Kerrigan family's identity.

This use of ocker language reveals the Australian identity and culture of the main character Darryl. Darryl's typical Aussie identity comes through in inappropriate moments as this dialogue is from the last courtroom scene, which is meant to be a formal setting. The Australian identity can be perceived as rowdy and uncivilsed. This idea is reinforced in this scene through Darryl's ocker language and colloquialisms.
