         <description><![CDATA[<p>Within Module 3 we discussed Global organizations and the different strategies companies may choose to use in order to go global such as Standardization, Transnational Strategy, Export Strategy, and Multidomestic Strategy. A Global organization is a company that competes beyond its home country. Globalization refers to the growth of goods, services, capital, technology, and knowledge across borders. It offers businesses opportunities to expand markets and access resources, but also exposes local markets to increased competition, potentially reducing demand for domestic products.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In Module 4, we went over strategic management and how to analyze the factors that impact organizations using strategic planning tools which included examples such as Porter's five forces and the SWOT Analysis. Porter's Five Forces include the threat of new entrants, the bargaining power of suppliers and buyers, the threat of substitute products, and the intensity of industry rivalry while the SWOT Analysis is a strategic planning tool that helps organizations identify their internal Strength and Weaknesses, as well as external Opportunities and Threats.</p>]]></description>

The Functional Structure groups employees into functional areas based on their expertise which allows&nbsp;a&nbsp;greater division of labor, which is linked to higher productivity.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In Module 6 we reviewed Managing Human Resources and Communications. While reviewing Communications we went over the various ways to communicate which are Verbal, Written, Electronic, and Nonverbal. In management each of the management roles depends on effective communication. Managers must be able to receive accurate information to determine plans, and they must be able to send accurate information for the plans to be implemented. When information is accurately sent and received, everyone in an organization can be informed.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In Module 6 we reviewed Managing Human Resources and Communications. In Managing Human Resources, we learned about the advantages and disadvantages of having Part-Time and Contingent Employees. Some advantages of having Part-Time and Contingent Employees can be a flexible, budget-friendly resource without the need to provide training or benefits. Some disadvantages may be that it can be hard to determine which tasks and responsibilities are appropriate for them, as well as difficulties with integrating them into company culture.</p>]]></description>

Engaging styles of leadership involve reaching out to employees and understanding their concerns and working situations which can help retain employees for the long term.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Module 7 was on Leadership and Motivation. In Motivation we went over the different types of motivation, which are Intrinsic and Extrinsic.  Intristic motivation is rewards that are not tangible, meaning that they can’t be easily measured or quantified such as interest and beliefs while Extrinsic motivation does have tangible rewards, such as commissions, bonuses, raises, promotions, and additional time off from work.</p>]]></description>
