The Propaganda brought Hitler to power by portraying him as a military leader, a father figure, and a messianic leader brought to redeem Germany. This is what rallies the public into hatred of the portrayed enemy. During the Holocaust they used defining the enemy to dehumanize the Jews. According to the Holocaust museum  the propaganda "portrayed Jews as an "alien race" that fed off the host nation, poisoned its culture, seized its economy, and enslaved its workers and farmers." This movie cover is an example of defining the enemy because it is singling out Jews and making them look demon like and inhuman. Germany had over 4,700 daily and weekly newspapers published annually and a total circulation of 25 million. The elimination of the multiparty political system allowed for the Nazi takeover of the press. The Nazi party used radio, press, and newsreels to create fears of a "communist uprising". For example the Der Stürmer was the most famous antisemitic newspaper. The newspaper only published negative things against the Jews like sex crimes and ritual murder. Propaganda convinced the public to align their thoughts with the general population and scared people who didn't believe in what the Nazi's did to conform with the government. The propaganda of deceiving the public is portraying the use of military forces as necessary and not an option. The Nazi's deceived the public informing them that the military actions were out of self defense and cast Germany as a victim. They did by prosecuting the nation’s leaders and by getting rid of the vestiges of the Führer cult and Joseph Goebbels’s propaganda. The Allies publicized the trial of top Nazi leaders to the German population in hope to discredit the Hitler regime and expose the scope of aggression and mass murder. The Allies printed more newspapers and aired radio podcasts from the event multiple times daily to get the information to the German public.
