In today’s world with all of its variety of entertainment, many parents believe that children should partake in educational activities in their leisure time and anything otherwise would’ve been a waste of time. This idea has its benefits but the disadvantages are no less.

As all parents do, they just want the best for their children. And having them engage in educational activities is a great way to further improve their education, broaden their horizons. It can also create good habits such as regularly reading books, self-discipline, etc. This makes the child more mature and think independently. But overall, it helps children be more prepared for life as they enter adulthood with most of the critical skills an adult should have.

However that is just on paper, in practice, most children barely have the mental capacity to continue learning after a tiring day of school. Most would rather stay at home and watch TV or play sports with their friends. Not only is it hard to implement effectively, even if you manage to get your children to do it, they would put in no effort at all or just a half-hearted attempt. This can actually create a negative emotion towards learning as a whole. A student who likes to read books might feel tired or outright disdain looking at a book if they were forced to read in their spare time.

Although the notion is not malicious, the way it’s applied can certainly create a far more harmful outcome than what intended. To avoid such a result, parents mustn’t force their children but rather make suggestions instead. Telling them about this super fun and cool subject rather than just forcing them to do it is more likely to generate a positive reaction. Because the best way to have kids learn is to make learning fun for them. Because at the end of the day, an activity in a child’s free time must be enjoyable.

Leisure time is when a person relax and do their favorite activities, for some parents educational activities should be included in their children’s leisure time. Although there are various benefits in educational activities, in my opinion the drawbacks are more significant.

On the one hand, educational activities can provide children with many advantages. Having some educational activities can not only help children enjoy learning but it can also help children review what they’ve learnt in school. Educational activities may come in many forms. For example, parents and their children can do quizzes together or they can share a book with one another. Having educational activities can help children widen their knowledge and their ability to absorb knowledge as well.

On the other hand, leisure time is when children relax and take their mind off of school work. By forcing the child to learn more at home through some activities, the child may develop a fear or phobia of studying which can cause long term stress and fear. Educational activities can limit children of their free time, when they could have pursued their interests and dreams. Research has shown that over 80 percent of children don’t get to choose what they want to do in their free time and that their parents are the ones controlling their actions.

In conclusion, although having educational activities can bring many notable benefits to children, having the freedom to do what they want can sometimes be more important.

Recently, there is a debate whether or not children should have educational activities as part of their leisure activities. Personally, I partly agree with this notion and my essay below will explain my opinion with the pros and cons of it.

On the one hand, there are various benefits of educational activities during recreational time. Among which are the developments of knowledge and other specific skills. For instance, children who participate in educational games will have the opportunities to enhance their cognitive skills and learn new things. Moreover, this can also help children overcome the fear of learning. Nowadays, many children are scared to go to school because of their laziness. But with these educational games, children will be taught in a fun and exciting way which makes children’s learning times less tense and stressful.

On the other hand, there are also some disadvantages of making educational activities mandatory during children’s relaxation as well. First and foremost, it can include pressure for children to perform well. To be more specific, children spend their leisure time relaxing after their intense times learning at school. Therefore, if we use their free time to educate them, they may stress out over the learning curriculum. In addition, it can also affect their social life. Children should rely on their free-play time as this is their time to communicate, to socialize, to interact with other people.

In conclusion, whether or not children should have educational activities as part of their leisure activities is up to personal interpretation. What we should do is to help children have a balance of educational and recreational activities.

Child rearing has always been a major problem in society, which draws many parents and adults’ attention. While some believe that educational activities are crucial for children's free time, others think that this is time-consuming. I am of the opinion that kids should be free to choose their activities during recreation time.

First and foremost, adding educational elements to youngsters’ leisure time may make them fatigued and uninterested in studying. In these days, learning programs are quite tight and academic; therefore, students mostly spend their time absorbing this knowledge and are left with little to no time to properly rest or entertain themselves. Consequently, if their leisure time also involves educational factors, it will drain them and make them feel exhausted. In many cases, students gradually lose interest in learning, which leads to mental breakdown or burnout syndrome.

Secondly, instead of educational activities, many alternative activities can be used to help students relax and ease their minds more effectively. Sports like gymnastics, badminton, and martial arts can enhance children’s physiques significantly and strengthen their mental health. Moreover, many students have innate talents in artistic fields like art and music, but they are often overlooked and neglected. Hence, it is critical for children to develop their artistic side along with their academic abilities to make the most of their capabilities.

In recapitulations, it is crucial for children to relax in their leisure time since they can become jaded by learning, and activities that help students loosen up while studying can boost their physical and mental health considerably.

It is believed by some parents that children should have educational activities in their free time or the time will be wasted. Personally, I don’t quite agree with this notion because the drawbacks are bigger than benefits.

On the one hand, do educational activities in leisure time has many advantages for children. Firstly, they can have a better result than others. Because they spend more time receiving knowledge, when an important exam comes, their result is often good. Secondly, it is a good way to make use of their free time instead of using electronic devices. Many children choose to using like watching TV or surfing the Internet. Although it seems fun and make children feel happy but in long term, it is addictive and cause negative effects on children.

On the other hand, there are various disadvantages of spending free time on educational activities. One of them is that it may cause some health problems. Especially when spending too much time studying, children don’t have time to do exercise and their body or brain does not rest enough, they will experience both mental and physical health problems. It can sometimes be seen in our life, some parents forced their children to stay up late and study. Furthermore, it may limit children’s creativity. Children during their free time can do something they like such as painting, reading books, listening to music, … All of these things help them more creative and imaginative but some parents think it is wasteful.

In conclusion, I don’t quite agree with the idea that children should spend their leisure time on educational activities, and if not, the time will be wasted. In my opinion, parents should let children have some time to rest and have the time to improve their creativity.

The better society, the better thinking of a person, that why nowadays many parents believe that children should have educational activities as their entertainment in their leisure time. This way of thinking brings its own benefits but the it also have some disadvantages.
First of all, educational activities can bring many advantages such like support and provide better and better knowledge of a child at school. Having educational activities can not only help children enjoy their lessons more but also remind them what they have learnt from school so they can remember it longer. Educational activities might come in different forms such like educational games like puzzle which can improve their thinking and creatively of their brain or having quizzes with their parents, it can give them both of fun and can help them to cognitive skills and learn new things after a question they have just answered.
On the other hand, having educational activities in children’s free time can make children’s feel they are being put a ton of weights on their shoulder. The reason for this is leisure time means children can do whatever they want to relax and have their own freedom to get away from studying and learning. If we use these leisure time to educate them can make them feel stress because the only thing they can think is learning and studying, because of that they cannot think another things to feel relax. Another thing is it can cause children to have negative forward adults because they think adults take their freedom away and don’t let them rest, it can become worse that children start hating their own parents and people around them, it can lead to many dangerous such like being naughty or rude forward people, so that why children need their own leisure time to grow up communities skills or making more different relationships for their own good, for a better future.
In conclusion, having educational activities are good but we need to put in right time so we can give our children the leisure time they deserve so they can relax after a long day at school, after learning those hardly exercises at school.

There are some parents believing that children’s free time should be spent on educational activities; otherwise, it would be wasteful. In my opinion, educational activities should depend on the child’s mood and schedule, educational games are not always good.

On the one hand, educational activities bring about some benefits. These activities help strengthen many skills for children. Educational activities often help children improve their logical thinking, motor skills... Moreover, some of the games following stringent rules; as a result, the teenager must make some strategy and build decision power. These skills help children become more responsive and help enhance their learning at school. For example, games such as crossword puzzles, puzzles, chess help stimulate children's brain thinking to successfully solve this game, thereby creating sharp reactions, intelligent thinking.

On the other hand, forcing children to play educational games will have many consequences. Leisure time is inherently when a person get their mind off work to do whatever they enjoy. If a child has had a very tiring day and he really needs a break, parents should let the child decide what he wants to do to relax. The child can then choose to sleep, play games, listen to music, watch TV... which is not so educational - as parents usually think. However, let the child feel free to do it, because he is feeling comfortable and relaxed with the entertainment he chooses. Forcing children to play educational games then is not only ineffective, but also makes children feel suffocated, tired and exhausted. As a result, children can develop a fear of learning and feel a lot of pressure when studying, which will have many long-term consequences.

In short, educational activities, it is true that it is very helpful to help improve many skills for children, but when and what educational activities to do should be based on children's feelings and timetables to ensure they still feels comfortable and still effectively benefit from the advantages that educational activities bring. As such, recreational games should only be encouraged, not required.
