The main things that are similar between largemouth bass and bluegill are where they are located and how they are treated and fished for. “Largemouth Bass”explains that largemouth bass have been categorized as one of the most popular sport fish in the United States (fws.gov). “Bluegill” states that since bluegill are also considered one of the more popular game fish they are bought and put into certain ponds and lakes at different quantities to keep them stocked (fws.gov). “Largemouth Bass” cites that Largemouth Bass live in clear, grassy ponds, lakes, and other bodies of water. They like hard sand and muddy places for spawning(fws.gov). “Bluegill Information, Photos, and Facts'' proposes that bluegill are not invasive to North America, and they are found all over the country. The bluegill live in nearly every pond, and calm water source in the United States (forum.americanexpedition.us). They are both very popular fish in the United States and also are both frequently fished for by fishermen.

Paragraph 2

The main difference between bluegill and largemouth bass is what they eat. “Largemouth Bass Information, Photos & Facts” says that older largemouth bass would rather eat small fish and minnows like sunfish; however, they may eat frogs, insects, and things such as small birds (forum.americanexpedition.us). “Bluegill Information, Photos, and Facts” adds that bluegill normally feed on small insects, worms, and rarely may feed on small fish. They may also eat bread, and other scraps that humans throw in the water (forum.americanexpedition.us). In all, there are only a few differences between largemouth bass and bluegill, mainly their diet. “Two articles from fws.gov state” the common length of largemouth bass ranges from fifteen inches to almost thirty nine inches. The main length for bluegill can range from seven inches to sixteen inches (fws.gov). As stated in the paragraph above there are a few differences between largemouth bass, and bluegill that should definitely be noted.

In conclusion, largemouth bass and bluegill have a lot in common and also have many differences too. The main similarities are habitat and where they are located in the U.S. The main difference was what they eat and how big they get. They have a lot in common and are very interesting to learn about and study.
