Unlike most couples, the woman wears the pants in their relationship. Throughout the book, Nancy seems to always be influencing Ronald and his choices, especially during his campaigns. Ronald's nickname for Nancy is "Mommie," because she acts more like Ronald's mother than his wife at times. The terrible illness, destroyed his mind as well as the man he once was. I have personally witnessed the terrible effects of this disease and I want nothing more than a cure. Hinkley has schizophrenia, which causes him to have an obsession over Foster after he sees her act in the movie, Taxi Driver. Hinkley obsesses over and stalks Foster for years, and ultimately decides that the only way to get Foster's attention is to kill the president.
