I like the spaced out method because it takes some of the stress off. It is maintainable because you don’t have to cram in a bunch of topics together and it allows you to go on your own pace. I can use this when studying for chem or any other class I have to take an exam in.

Creating your own definitions of the materials terminology

I think ultimately, there shouldn’t be a reason why you have to learn a concept in a specific way, unless of course it is completely impracticable and unproduceable. You should learn by what you know, applying your own sense of knowledge with new material. I think this way you are actually familiarising yourself with the material and possibly make it fun. For both studying for useless classes and stuff you’re interested in, it’ll work as a way of keeping yourself grounded yet also sane, while getting some futilement out of it.

An example would be taking core classes required for graduation. It doesn’t have to be boring, make the material your own domain and understand it enough.

My favorite study strategy is applying what I learned through practice problems/ examples. For example in math, I like doing a bunch of examples because it help solidify the process in my mind. When learning about precise limit definition I couldn’t understand what I needed to do because it just didn’t make sense. I did like 20 practice problems, half with an example guide and half without, and this really helped my understanding. This is maintainable as I just have to do a few problems every day and then the concept or process of doing it becomes easier.

my favorite study strategy is note taking. I think it’s helps me, and is a good way to study. I like to go over what I had written and go over only the important information that I had written. I think that it’s maintainable because you are just writing notes from class. It can be implemented in your life like if you want to go over the important notes you can go back to the notes you wrote.

My favorite study strategy is active recall, because applying concepts learned in class to my personal experiences helps me retain the information by associating it with something familiar. This is maintainable because you can use this strategy for any subject and significantly improves your retention of information. For example, I can use active recall in my communication disorders class by applying information related to speech to my life and relating to what is taught.

I find teaching the information or concept to someone / targeted discussion to be very helpful. Often times verbally explaining topics to solidify comprehension (especially if its a subject youre struggling in) can help to unconsciously identify what questions you need to ask or what you don't know. I find it can help me gain further mastery in the concept or subject, but only after a set amount of time of independent studying (ie. Note taking, memorization, and asking questions). Simplifying information can help create pathways and connections between subjects. Especially when explaining it to someone else, even if it just passively.
