We arrived in Latvia on Tuesday 10th , we spent that evening around Riga's old town waiting that our host students came and took us. Unfortunately I changed my host student and I went to a new family with my host mom Jana, it was fantastic to be in her house because I had the opportunity to know different cultures and traditions as she hosted also Eneja and Vivian from Slovenia and Armando from Lithuania. During our week in Latvia we presented our videos and powerpoints about the results of the survey on presenting a company and about mobbing, we had meetings with different representatives and experts such as the Town Council representative, Vita Brakovska and Liga Peiseniece, we also visited the cosmetics company "Madara", the Bauska Castle, the Rundale Castle and Sigulda, and we had workshops on mobbing, the last one was fantastic we had to create animations but I liked most the one  at BA SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND FINANCE. I enjoyed the evening at bowling, and the others things that I also liked a lot were the visit to the Riga Central Market and the farewell party at school with the magic man, the folk dances, the students show, the karaoke and the Swedish table. The thing I'm sorry about is that we started to make friends  in the last few days in any case thanks to this meeting I had the opportunity to see different life styles, I improved my English and I met students that I had met in the previous meetings so our friendship will be stronger and stronger. I was welcomed by Una's mother who tried to speak English, but I  understood her through gestures. During the meeting we visited many places and we walked a lot, but the most beautiful day was on Sunday, because with other guys we went to Sigulda and I had the chance to see my special friend Florentina, to meet new friends and to deepen my friendship with my host friend Una. I had the opportunity to understand their lifestyle that is very different from ours, I have listened to the stories of many guys and this helped me a lot. I thank Una and her beautiful family for making me feel at home and having welcomed me as a daughter.

We were in the capital city called Riga. We went there for 1 week. The first day when we arrived to Riga one group went to the hotel and second one went to the host family. After then we went to the restaurant for a dinner and we enjoyed it!! Next day we went to the school for meeting with host students. It was great!!! We talked to eatch other, discussed about cultures, habits and foods. When we finished we went to the restaurant and played bowling. After all day we went to the hotel for relax. On Thursday we visited OLD TOWN and town hall. Every evening we had some time off. The best day from the whole week was Monday because it was the last day. We were at the school and host students prepared surprise for us. There were a lots of traditional foods and we saw traditional dance. In the evening we had a disco party at school and it was amazing! I met new friends, new culture and I improved my English!!!

I am very happy I could be part of the team and experience how people live in another country, what their behavior is, what sights they have in the city, what their traditions and customs are. There were a lot of things and strange things for us, one of many things being, living and eating, because each of us likes his own home. About the project I would like to say a lot of positive things, especially the opportunity to speak English, to visit new places, to know a new country and friends. I applaud the Riga organization, just a shame that it was not more of a programme. I enjoyed the meeting despite bad weather. The hotel was amazing, I think a better hotel could not even be. We had a perfect breakfast for the whole week, lunches were worse because they were in the school cafeteria. I liked the last day most since it was a funny program, dance, entertainment and a Swedish table. It gave me lots of experience and opened my eyes. That’s project meeting was little bit weaker. We didn’t have many workshops and time together. We didn’t know what to do in our free time.
 
I meet lot of people. My host friend was kind and friendly to me and to my friends. That’s was my first time without some family. My girl lived alone, in the Czech Republic it isn’t this typical for young students, for me this was somethings new.
On family day we were in maybe my favorite place of all Latvia, in Sigulda. It is such a nice town, with very interesting nature and autumn forest.
 
I love this project because we can see and learn culture of each country and that gave us so much experience for our lives. But I think it is so short to be there just one week because once we started to understand each other and learn better English we had to go home.
 
I’m looking forward to the meeting in the Czech Republic!

Riga is a very nice capital town and the old Riga is the best ! There are so many good restaurants! For me it was very good experience. I found new friends and I made my English better. 

One day we made a computer animation about mobbing and that was fun! On Saturday we went to visit two castles, they were both very beautiful.But every day we had too much free time and sometimes we got bored about that. Thank you for everything and see you in the Czech Republic!

But when we arrived to the hotel I was suprised. We had a very beautiful hotel. We were fine there. In Latvia I liked speding time with friends of others countries. There was a lot of time for experience and dating. I enjoyed lectures.  Nice was also the last day at school. It was a fun - karaoke, dancing with friends and we learned dances from other countries. For me the best of days was Family Day. We went with our teachers and my friend Nelly to the beach in Jurmala. It was a beautiful sunny day and we were glad to be by the sea. What I dislike was the visit to the castle. For me it was very boring. I think there should have been more teamwork and time with teachers. And less free time. This project was very interesting for me and I enjoyed it. I visited country where I would not probably go. Thank you for this week, it was full of experiences and fun.

I lived in the host family and it was absolutely fantastic. I visited the square, the old town in Riga, Town hall, some shopping centre local restaurants and high school. I met new friends fro other countries and I learned about their culture, habits and traditional food. The best of all was that I found new friends, not just from Latvia and we are still in touch. I found friends for whole my life at least I hope. It was a great experience for me and I will never forget it.

It was also a great opportunity to practice our English, since we don’t speak it so often as we were ‘forced’ to speak there. I particularly liked the activity made at school, in which groups were built to produce students’ own animations on mobbing.

Interaction with students from other countries was very important. We met new people, different cultures and different ways of being and thinking about life. There was no time for being ashamed, we had to be spontaneous and interact with the other students. The activities that I liked the most was the one we did in college and the other one with the animation. They were activities that put us to the test, because we had to build groups with one person from each country and we had to adapt ourselves to each other. This experience was very important because I could train my English much more, something that I do not do today, So, I only have to thank you for having welcomed me. Thank you.
