         <description><![CDATA[<div>Morgan was born on April 17, 1837 in Hartford, Connecticut, and was raised by the influential Morgan family, grew up to be a banker, and invested wisely in many companies, even having to save the United States and its Treasury multiple times. He attained his wealth through his family and also through his banks.  After his father died, he gained control of J. S. Morgan &amp; Co, and bought several of Andrew Carnegie's businesses in order to create the United States Steel Corporation. He died on March 31, 1913 in his sleep while at the Grand Hotel in Rome. <br><br></div>]]></description>
