Guangde is my home town. It's located in Southeast China surrounded by mountains. It has been growing rapidly and have experienced some degrees of massive urbanization. I visited back home during the summer and was able to find the old town's characteristics among its new image. My parents still live there. It'll always be a very special place to me.

I used to live on the border between DC and Maryland (Silver Spring). I love its public transit (Metro is so clean & the buses are very convenient). I love its sense of space and the feeling that everyone has a place, especially around the Mall area.

Jon H. - Philadelphia is easily the city I have spent the most time in and have grown very fond of. There are many parts of the city that I love. One that I would like to particularly highlight is the way Philadelphia is bisected by the Schuylkill River. I love traveling from Center City into University City - going across the river - and looking at the combination between natural and urban elements the city has to offer.

Ciara W. This is Dublin Ireland and this is is where half my families live. I love it here because it is so walkable and it has so many shops and restaurants. It also has plenty of public transportation to get to and from the city. This particular area is O'Connell street and the bridge pictured is the oldest bridge in the city (also has a great tattoo parlor!)

Istanbul has a series of bridges that seemingly divide the city in half, the eastern "Asian" side and the western "European" side. It is a huge vacation spot for people from many nations and attracts tourists to see the historical mosques and Ottoman Empire era planning. Some of that old design still exists to this day such as the Grand Bazaar...built and preserved in the 1400s, this covered market still features people haggling one-two specific types of goods at a time. There are shoe areas, jacket areas, book areas, food, etc.

I love Las Vegas because it is a place that was originally founded for fun. There aren't many places in the world where fun and entertainment are the driving factors of the economy. The city is very aesthetically pleasing and walkable. There are countless things to do that no other city offers.

I love Telluride. There is not much more that can be built in this quaint town that has a road leading through the valley of many very tall mountains. The Gondola has been in place for years and is actually one of the main ways people get from town to their homes. It's a walking town for all intents and purposes, and certainly at capacity.

This isn’t necessarily my favorite, but it’s where I grew up and it’s the nearest city to some of my favorite villages and places - plus, it’s got deep history, gritty people, a tenacious Main Street (actually High Street), a great lake, riverfront trail, contiguous open spaces and biodiversity. It’s an old factory town so it has some issues it’s grappling with and it’s suffered from disinvestment like much of the ‘deep south’ of NJ. -Meghan Wren

This locations has beautiful crystal waters and during low tide you can walk out into the ocean for miles. it is surround by beautiful scenery and stores. The sand is a beautiful white that doesn't get hot from the sun. Most importantly it has some of the most beautiful sun rises and sunsets.
