To make a safer country with the “eyes on the street” concept, where the community can work with the government to build safer spaces to help prevent crimes, such as "vehicle on watch" as an example of the SPF initiative.

They strike the balance of privacy and safety. Having too much CCTV will have an issue with individual privacy.

The "hiding issues" probable the higher class is in the best interest to have their "things" private.

– But alternatively, “bystander effect” may occur where people do not step in to help but just document the incident

Privacy - That is only concerning the elitist and middle class where they only have the rights to privacy whereas the poorer class aren't able to access it. Opening doors to other crime opportunity for the poorer class to criminalise on.

Privacy issue - security reasons like getting citizen consent, not all citizen will give consent hence thinking it might be a privacy intrusion.

-Poor individuals in society view a widening social stratification between them and the rich. With no proper effort to close the widening income inequality between the rich and the poor, it could potentially pressure the poorer individuals to commit crimes in order to adapt to the situation that does provide them with the resources to climb the social ladder. (Merton’s strain theory)

“The more a space is being populated by people and is active with street vendors and other human activities, the safer the community would be”
-This shows how capitalist societies engineer spaces in society to ensure that the proletariat would be forced to accept the work conditions that are imposed on them (fixed placed for vendors to set-up their shops) which are solely for economic reasons. With the space being filled with vendors and in turn with other human activities, they act as surveillance and hence, deterrence against crimes.

“those who have too much who wants to be protected from others”. 
Urban area which classifies as the people of the rich would feel threatened on their security by those of the poor.
Crimes that can be identified could be referred to theft / robbery / petty crimes.
Applauding the recent move by Indonesian President Joko Widodo to move the country’s capital from Jakarta to East Kalimantan province, Mr Nair advocated the “breaking up” of large cities, where infrastructure is being built in other towns and people relocated there. 
“Our cities are dumps and they are not going to get better,” he noted. 
- This may benefit the country economically. Trying to make Kalimantan to evolve as a city and not segregate societies. However, may raise concerns to people of the higher class, worrying on the potential rise on crime rates. Punishments could be identified as targeting to street crimes, and protecting the capitalist class – protecting their safety. 
Besides tackling poverty, another way to build safer cities is to focus on crime prevention, which is the premise of Ms Viswanath’s “eyes on the street” concept. 
-As we intergrate societies, it is important to have crime education to prevent crimes

Hidden issues
-Too much focus on crime prevention (such as eye in the sky / more CCTV), identifying crimes however, did not mention much on the rehabilitation efforts or aids in relieving social inequalities (eg. poverty)
-As rural areas merge into the city areas, many are unable to cope (hidden issue: rural area people are in such conditions due to their restricted means, thus being forced into transition, governments should have some focus on tackling this social issue)
-Installations of CCTV – has digital footprints, raising concerns of personal safety, infringement of privacy and data security issues
