I’ve also been practicing Chinese calligraphy for over ten years. While I believe there are some differences between Chinese and Japanese calligraphy, the mindset behind writing remains quite similar. Calligraphy requires a lot of patience, but for me, it’s also a great way to relax.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and watching NBA games. My favorite singer is Eric Chou, whose songs blend soft pop melodies with deeply emotional lyrics. If you’re also interested in music or basketball, I’d love to exchange thoughts with you!

I’ve visited Japan once and truly enjoyed the time and atmosphere there. As a science student, I’m passionate about learning more about science, nature, and environmental protection. 　　My name is Ko Kuan-Kai, and my English name is Ken. I’m currently a student with a strong interest in both academics and extracurricular activities. One of my biggest passions is basketball—I’m an active member of my school’s basketball team, and I really enjoy the teamwork, discipline, and energy the sport brings.

　　I'm also part of the guitar club at school and I enjoy listening to music in my free time. One of my favorite bands is Sunset Rollercoaster, whose style really helps me relax and recharge after a busy day. Music plays a big role in my daily life; it keeps me motivated, improves my mood, and even helps me focus when I’m studying. I hope we can exchange some of our favorite songs and artists during this event.

Speaking of J-pop, my favorite Japanese singer is Fujii Kaze, whom I discovered after watching the Red and White Singing Contest at the end of 2024. I like him so much that I’ve listened to all of his songs—including the covers!

I also enjoy music from other artists like Ado, YOASOBI, Minami, Yorushika, Creepy Nuts, and more. If you’re a fan of Fujii Kaze too, I’d love to talk with you about him!

Besides music, I also enjoy watching anime. Recently, I’ve been addicted to One Piece and I’m really looking forward to the Summit War arc. Another favorite of mine is The Apothecary Diaries—I especially love Maomao’s voice actress. Her voice sounds calm and wise. Also, I can’t wait for the new Demon Slayer movie coming out in August!

In my free time, I also enjoy watching baseball. My favorite team is the Los Angeles Dodgers, and I think Yoshinobu Yamamoto is the best pitcher right now. I only started watching MLB games this March, but I try to catch every game when I have time.

My favorite subjects are physics and math. My interest in physics led me to participate in a physics science fair, which was a challenging but very rewarding experience. I am also very passionate about programming, with a special interest in game development. Creating interactive worlds and challenges is something I really enjoy.

When it comes to culture, I noticed some of you are in the Tea Ceremony Club, which I think is very cool. I have always been curious about Japanese tea and how it compares to what we have in Taiwan. If you are into it, I would love to hear more and maybe share some of our teas too.

My name is Huang Pin-Mo, and my English name is Molly. I'm currently a member of the science class at Tainan First Senior High School in Taiwan. I have a strong interest in both the arts and sciences, especially painting and photography. I love painting because it’s healing and gives me a way to express my emotions creatively. Photography, on the other hand, allows me to capture the beauty in everyday life—moments that are often overlooked. If you’re interested in seeing some of my works, I’d be more than happy to share them with you.

In my free time, aside from studying, I enjoy reading comic books. My favorite series is Detective Conan (名探偵コナン), which I’ve been following for years. Without a doubt, my favorite character is Edogawa Conan, who is both brilliant and cute. If you’ve seen the newest movie, Detective Conan: The Phantom of the Silent Eye (名探偵コナン 隻眼の残像フラッシュバック), we can definitely chat about it!

I love watching all kinds of anime and movies. Recently, my favorite movie is F1: The Movie. It even got me into watching real Formula 1 races! My favorite team is McLaren—they’ve been super strong this season!

As for anime, my current favorite is Kaoru Hana wa Rinto Saku (薫る花は凛と咲く). Kaoruko is just way too cute—I even set her as my iPad wallpaper! I also enjoy shows like Jujutsu Kaisen (呪術廻戦), Solo Leveling (俺だけレベルアップな件), and Bocchi the Rock! (ぼっち・ざ・ろっく！).

Besides anime, I’m also a big fan of K-pop. My favorite group is NewJeans (or NJZ)! I love their fresh and youthful vibe—they’re super cute, and I’ve even bought all of their albums. My favorite member is Minji—she’s so cool and elegant!

In terms of school, physics is my strongest subject. I’ve participated in many physics competitions, and I hope to keep studying physics at university. My current research interests are quantum mechanics and quantum information. If you're interested in those fields too, I’d love to chat with you!

I’m a member of the wind band club, even though I don’t actually play any wind instruments. The reason I joined was because I play the piano, and now I’m in charge of the keyboard parts in the percussion section. Music has always been a big part of my life, and I enjoy trying pieces from different composers. My favorite composer is Liszt, and lately I’ve been practicing La Campanella, one of my favorite songs. If you also play instruments or enjoy music too, I’d love to chat about it with you.

In my free time, I also watch anime. One of my favorites is 「薬屋のひとりごと」, and I’m super excited about the exhibition in Kaohsiung at the end of August. Recently, I’ve been watching 「その着せ替え人形は恋をする」, and Marin and Gojou are just so adorable.

My absolute favorite character is 助六, an adorable hamster drawn by the artist Gotte. I always look forward to their exhibitions and pop-up shops when they come to Taiwan. Honestly, more than half of my casual clothes are 助六’s T-shirts. I’ve spent quite a lot on them, but they’re so cute that I don’t regret it at all.

I enjoy listening to music, and I usually listen to Chinese songs. Although I don’t often listen to Japanese music, I have heard some well-known songs like “Lemon” byよねづ けんし , Yonezu Kenshi and some famous anime theme songs.I’m also a member of the guitar club, though I’m still learning and my skills aren’t very good yet. I’m working hard to improve.Speaking of anime, I’ve loved watching it since I was little. Shows like ドラえもん, こちら葛飾区亀有公園前派出所, and ちびまる子ちゃん are part of my childhood memories. I’ve also been a big fan of 名探偵コナン ever since I was young. Not only do I watch the main storylines, but I also go to the theater every year to watch every 名探偵コナン movie. I even made sure not to miss the recent release 名探偵コナン 隻眼の残像.In addition to long-running anime, I also enjoy shorter series like 薬屋のひとりごと, 終末のワルキューレ, and マッシュル -MASHLE-.

Besides anime, I also love watching baseball. Whether it’s the CPBL (Taiwan), NPB (Japan), or MLB (USA), I follow them all. My favorite team in Taiwan is the CTBC Brothers. You might not know the team, but you’ve probably heard of their cheerleader 峮峮 “炸裂，陳子豪.”Moreover ,A few years ago, I followed NPB closely, and my favorite team was the オリックス・バファローズ because I really liked Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Now that he’s moved to MLB, I continue to support him and the Los Angeles Dodgers.Finally, I’m also a big fan of Formula 1. I support Scuderia Ferrari, but I also really like Yuki Tsunoda—I think he’s short and super cute. If I get the chance, I’d love to watch a race at Monza in Italy, and going to the Suzuka Circuit in Japan is one of my biggest dreams too.

I'm a student in the Science Class at Tainan First Senior High School. You might think that means I love studying, but actually, I'm not a typical "bookworm."I'm much more interested in things outside of school, like theoretical psychology and GPS technology. These topics really capture my curiosity!

You won't find me very active online. I've never posted photos or articles on Instagram or Facebook. For me, social media is mostly a way to enjoy local and international memes. Those illogical memes are how I de-stress.

I have a twin sister who goes to Tainan Girls' Senior High School. People often joke that I traded my looks for her brains! She might be a little pretty(yeah, i think. but i can show you the pictures.), but she's definitely much more hardworking than I am. She's currently really into the anime Jujutsu Kaisen. I keep telling her not to read the manga, though, because the plot really goes downhill.

My favorite subject is physics, and I participated in physics competitions last year. I truly enjoy solving challenging problems and discussing them with my classmates. In addition, I have a strong interest in biology. Recently, I’ve been researching the morphology of inflamed oligodendrocytes. It is fascinating to analyze experimental results and discuss them with the professor.

I was a member of the string orchestra in junior high school. Although I don't join an orchestra in senior high school , I still enjoy playing the viola in my leisure time. It helps me relax and relieve stress. Last year, my classmates and I even held a small concert under the banyan tree at school, which was  fun and memorable. I also love listening to classical music—it always brings me peace of mind.

 I really look forward to the science program , discussing the discoveries together . I also want  to introduce you to the rich culture and delicious food  of Taiwan.

I am a member of the boardgame club, and I enjoy playing abstract board games, especially different variants of chess, Xiangqi (象棋), and Shogi (將棋). The complex strategies which develop from simple rules attract me deeply.

I love to listen to music, especially electronic music with styles like hardcore or artcore. Sometimes I also listen to doujin music. I'm amazed by the creativity and passion that independent artists put into their work, and I love discovering new sounds and genres.

Also, I love to watch anime in my free time. My favorite anime is "No Game No Life: Zero." The story is incredibly touching, and the world-building is simply fantastic.

On the academic aspect, l have found myself comfort in chemistry since I was preparing for entering the school. In my high school days,I have participated several chemistry competitions,and also conveyed a chemy science fair project with Yu-Cheng and Jerry .On top of this,I just started my individual research project in photonics lab in NCKU(Cheng Kung University).My research is about gold nanoparticles synthesis and it's semiconductor property after coated by several kinds of organisms. If anyone is also into chemistry,we would have a lot to share 😁

By the way, I like to travel in my vacations, for this two years, I've been to Tohoku Region of Japan this winter,and i just came back from Jeju. My leisure times are often used to listen to English music, and watch old American drama.I like to listen Justin Bieber's song since I was in the middle school, and he just released his latest album .I'm curious which kind of Western music or singer is most popular in Japan .

In terms of learning ,among all the subjects, biology is where I do best. Accordingly, the topic I study for the science fair is about how temperature affects the learning ability of yellow crazy ants (also known as long-legged ants). Recently, my partner and I completed writing a research paper (short communication) thanks to the help from our biology teacher (He’s the teacher who will take us to Zengwen River).

Outside of academics, I enjoy following sports—particularly baseball. I’m a fan of Unilions, a local team in Tainan. By the way, I recently started watching Formula 1 after I saw the F1 movie. I’m also very passionate about fitness. Even though I don’t go to the gym, I still workout regularly at home, enjoying challenging myself physically, which helps me stay focused and disciplined in other areas of life as well.

In my free time, I also enjoy listening to music and exploring nature. My favorite singers are Wu Bai (China Blue) and Matzka. While speaking of exploring nature, I like to go to eastern Taiwan during summer or winter vacation. After all, I consider myself a curious and active person who enjoys both mental and physical challenges.

Speaking of my hobbies, I own three pets which are two geckos and one savannah monitor(all reptiles).If you also have pets to share, I'm definitely into it!

Though not much connected to Japan culture, I truly love the cuisine in your country. To name a few, like てんどん、ラーメン、お菓子 all impress me with its extraordinary flavor and tastes. As a result, I look forward to exchange the perspective in both Taiwan and Japan food culture with ya'll

In addition, I also watch some anime(though not many) and I especially obsessed with ハイキュー!!、じゅじゅつかいせん、sakamoto days and the recent one: 光が死んだ夏。The vibe and art style are just too good to be true!

I’m a sport lover, I played table tennis when I was an elementary school student,and I play soccer and basketball in my free time. In addition, I’m an outfielder for TNFSH baseball team. I also played “Black Panther Cup National high school baseball tournament”, which is single-elimination format, similar to Japan’s Koshien. The vibe was super exciting and incredibly passionate! Also, I watch lots of sports games (like EUFA Champion League and NBA). So, if you are a Clippers fan, we will be good friends.

Sometimes, I watch stand up comedy, because……. it is hilarious, and absurd, that’s it.

Besides, I also like to listen to music, especially jazz, soul and r&b. The grooves in this music are so fascinating and make me feel relaxed. The song I most love is “overjoyed” by Stevie Wonder.

Speaking of Japan, I went to Tokyo when I was six. Though I don’t have a clear memory about the details, I bought some cute souvenirs and they are still put on my desk (like the Totoro doll).

Two things really stood out to me: first, when you taught us the traditional dance (I think we all looked a bit awkward but it was so much fun), and second, the stream exploration. Even though it was really hot, I truly enjoyed working together to catch those little creatures.

During these two days, I’ve learned so much—not only about river creatures, but also about cultural differences. I feel that I now understand Japan better, and I’ve realized that the small things we see every day can also be special. I also really like the gifts, especially the WASEDA bear.

Among all the experiences, two moments impressed me the most. The first was when we walked together to the temple. Even though we were caught in heavy rain on the way back, we got to know each other better through our conversations along the road. The second, of course, was the stream exploration! It was so much fun to catch creatures together in the fresh water and visit the traditional market!
