         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Cognitive Developmen</strong>t- Play within the Pre-K classroom stimulates early brain development, improves intelligence, sparks creative thinking, and improves communication, vocabulary, and language. <br><strong>Physical Development</strong>- Play provides children with opportunities to grow both fine and gross motor skills. <br><strong>Self-Concept</strong>-&nbsp; Play builds childrens self-confidence through accomplishing different skills. Play also acts as a therapeutic agent in children.<br><strong>Social Developmen</strong>t- Play allows children to listen, negotiate, and compromise with others to develop an awareness of differences among people. <br><strong>Emotional Regulation</strong>- Children whom participate in pretend play are better able to regulate their emotions and control their impulses.</div>]]></description>
