What you should know!
•We do not know the exact origin of the current outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), but we do know that it originated in an animal, probably a bat.

•At the moment there is no evidence that animals play an important role in the spread of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, to people.

•Based on the limited information available to date, the risk of animals transmitting COVID-19 to people is considered low.

•More studies need to be done to understand if and how different animals could be affected by COVID-19.

•We continue to learn about this virus, but everything seems to indicate that in some situations people can transmit it to animals.

•People with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 should avoid contact with animals, including pets, livestock, and wildlife.

There are two types of COVID-19 screening tests available: viral tests and antibody tests.

 A viral test indicates whether you currently have an infection.

 An antibody test could tell if you had an infection before.

"Considerations about who should get tested"

 People who have symptoms of COVID-19.

 People who have had close contact (within 6 feet for a total of 15 minutes or more) with someone with confirmed COVID-19.

 People who participated in activities with a higher risk of contracting COVID-19 because it was not possible to maintain social distancing, such as travel, large or massive social gatherings, or being indoors with many people.

 Individuals who have been requested or directed by their health care provider or local health department or state or external site to be screened.

 Not all people should be screened.  If you are screened, you should self-quarantine / isolate yourself at home while you wait for the test results and follow the advice of your healthcare provider or public health professional.

    Sputnik V is based on the virus’s genetic instructions for building the spike protein. But unlike the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines, which store the instructions in single-stranded RNA, Sputnik V uses double-stranded DNA.
