I feel terrible for Anne as she wants her father to show her the same love he shows Margot

How many connections and resources they have beyond the Annex is suprising to me as I didt know that.

I resonate with this because I can relate to it. I have grown a closer relationship with some more then my mom.

Growing up I would say a lot of people saw me as spoiled to. When I was young I definitely was but it didn’t bother me in any way as I was really young and didt t think about it. Now some may say I still am spoiled but I have definitely learned to never take things for granted and always appreciate what you have.

I think this is again and again. The adults keep arguing in the Annex and Anne is growing frustrated with them.

All the kids crying as they and there families are being hauled out of any places is really sad as she mentions the people are good innocent people.

Anne and her family had never celebrated St. Nicholas. I don’t know much about Jews or Germans but I just figured they did celebrate considering how popular the holiday is.

Anne feeling hurt by what the adults in the Annex gave to say about her and how they judge her for feeling emotions. I can personally relate with this because I feel like kids/teenagers are judged and there feelings are pushed away from adults.

I am a little confused as to how the place around them outside looks as they continually talk about planes, bombs, and shootings and I’m a little confused as to how that’s happening but the people under and around are still working.

The adults are continually arguing still and at times Anne is being brought up in there quarrels. This would be Again and Again.

“ It is mighty difficult to be on such model behavior with people you can’t bear, especially when you don’t mean a word of it.” I can resonate with this because it is true that sometimes you can have flare ups with people and you don’t mean what you say or that it can be hard to not lose you temper around some people.

“ I dint think my opinions are stupid and the others do; so it is better to keep them to myself.” I can resonate with this because I believe that there is a time where everyone keeps there feelings to themself in fear that others may believe they are stupidity or annoying.

Anne is talking about how she feels taller I am curious as to how she might have looked at the age of 15 after being in the annex for 2 years.

Something that surprised me was how they were all able to get Mrs. Van Dann something for her birthday.

Anne is talking about not having anyone to talk to and how she cry’s to bring herself relief I can personally relate to this as sometimes it can be hard to find someone to talk to and especially for her who is hiding and sometimes the only way you can feel good is to let out tears.

Again and again. Anne is feeling not so much connected to her mom and is getting into multiple upsetting situations with her.

Is Anne into girls or what’s going on. She talks about what she has wanted to do with her past friends.

Anne and what she is eating and how she has adapted to eat most of the same things over and over again. I get that if that was all you had you would have to eat it but I’m not sure if I could ever.

Something that surprised me was the effect the annex had in Anne. I knew being inside the annex must have had some effect on her mentally but I never really had a good idea of just how much it must have crushed her.

Again and again because Anne keeps mentions things she would like to do after the war. It is quite upsetting to read knowing how her story ends.

“ certainly, I have had a lot of unhappiness, but to accuse the good Pim, who has done and still does do everything for me no, that was too low for words.” I can resonate with this because sometimes you catch yourself doing your parents wrong and you feel guilty afterwords as they have done everything for you.

I can personally relate to this because although your parents give you enough you still feel like there not there for you and you feel guilty for feeling that way.

I’m confused as to how the annex was discovered.
