My first week on the module! The seminar leader was Sara and Ciara this week, and they did a wonderful job at organizing the discussion, and they made me, a newbie to the module, learned a bit about how to be a good seminar leader.
I had a quick look at the readings but was not able to post to the class Padlet on time. But since it was just my first week, I'll do better (and I did!) afterward.
The guest speaker Dr.Graf explained her research on graffiti arts. I asked a question about what is usually the attitude of authorities toward these arts, and she said they generally wouldn't have a strong negative attitude, which in fact surprised me.

Week 4 is the week I started to fully engage in all the learning activities of the module since I didn't post on Padlet on time the last week. Plus I'm the tech angel for this week! Yufeiyang approached me before the seminar and asked me a few technical questions that she was not too sure about. She figured everything out on her own during the seminar, but glad I could help. :)
The learning materials in week 4 are all quite useful, apart from the Wästerfors reading, I also watched the Wried video. I later found both materials very helpful for my final report, as I'm going to observe and analyze people from a proxemics point of view.
Qianshi and Yufeiyang lead this week's seminar. We discussed the questions made by the leaders and the weekly readings. The second half of the seminar was primarily for us to report our visions for our final report. I heard quite a few interesting ideas from others, and shared my plan to observe my fellow neighbors in my student accommodation's common area.

Week 5 is asynchronous and we looked at misinformation and social media. It's really interesting to actually learn the mechanism behind receiving and believing misinformation. Beatrice, Na, and Aarya put out some fascinating questions.
There was no seminar but Dr. Fulton scheduled individual meetings with us, and I had the chance to ask about how this individual padlet I'm doing right now works for us. :)

And here we are at week 6. This week's reading is one of the most exciting and interesting readings I have ever read! The undercover police officer one is just like what Mingxiu said in the class padlet——like a spy movie! And I'm really impressed by how the article pointed out that in this kind of highly complex environment, people's behavior can hardly be concluded by a model. Additionally, Fatemeh recommended a film that I really like.
The seminar this week mainly revolves around the specific readings we were asked to read, Yin, Jagriti and Yao respectively lead different parts of the first half of the seminar. In the second half, Jamaica demonstrated her research on open science and how her organization is trying to promote this field.

Mary Ann, Elenora and Yu inserted their questions during the playthrough, and it was both fun and educational.
The guest speaker Dave shared his research on collaborative information behavior with us, but I have to admit I didn't fully understand his research, and I need to work on that.

Zhiyu Chen approached me and we discussed a few basic ideas. Then I emailed Crystal for suggestions. With the tips Crystal gave me and my observation of how Beatrice, Na, and Aarya did it in week 5, we decided the plan to prepare for this week.
We each came up with two questions and two suggested readings for the class, and I posted them on the padlet. I was able to continue interacting with my colleges and it is more than interesting to see their thought on the questions!

This week's task is the most interesting one to be completed. I analyzed the process of me designing a DND character with the rational model of strategic planning. I enjoyed drawing this draft as much as I enjoyed designing this character! But I did realize that implementing such a model that is modified for business strategic planning is not the most suitable choice, but at least it worked.
During the lecture, we shared our sketch with the class and explained how the models fit our chosen activities.

Summary

To sum up my learning in this module, firstly I would say this reflection padlet required in our assessment kind of forced me to do better at learning, and turns out it works really well.
I am very proud of myself for being able to turn on my camera all the time and was also able to interact with others whether in the chat or using the microphone.
I also think I did a good job in week 10 as the seminar leader since I was interacting with others and asking questions, and there was a good reaction to my questions.
All the readings and discussions really deepened my understanding of information behavior. For instance, I never realized that the information-seeking process can be so complex in certain scenarios. And this module also made me rethink the function of observation, and how details matter.
However, I have to admit that I did forget to post on padlet a few times, and there are a few seminars in that I was less active than I should have been. And I am a bit disappointed in myself for not being able to ask enough valuable questions to the guest speakers.
But generally speaking, I would say I did a good job at this module, and more importantly, it was a very fun journey. :)
